Eye Lash Curler

In my teens, I never knew this even existed! Today, I am the author of two beauty blogs! Funny, isn't it? Lash curler is something self-explainatory, but I guess there are some naive beauties out there not knowing
what an eye lash curler exactly is!

Vega Eye Lash Curler!

The first time I laid my eyes on a lash curler, I christened that a torture device! "Did I really need to undergo that agony?" was the first thought that striked my mind! Not until I got the hang of it I knew what I missed so long! The thought of a gadget near your eye is not so pleasing, especially for beginners! You will never regret investing, trust me!

Head with rubber pad!

What is an eye lash curler? A beauty gadget used for curling UPPER eye lashes! It helps brighten and widen your eyes leaving an impression of elongated and seperated lashes! What else do you need? Generally, lash curlers are either manually operated or battery-operated! The best tool to brighten droopy eyes! Lash curlers tend to push your lashes upwards which indeed helps change a lot in your looks! Hair driers are used to heat up the manual lash curler for that extra oomph! It might work just the way a battery-operated one does, but I am yet to try that!

Torture device turns out heavenly, finally!

What is the anatomy of a lash curler? It is just a metallic gadget with a rubber pad head and rubber base! First use might be kinda scary, but dont let fear overcome your instincts! Lash curler might remind you of scissors, only the mechanism being different! Curlers are provided with two rings at the base to hold your fingers! Branded lash curlers might have a rubber pad at the base which help in grip, so you dont end up with "Ouch" eye! Branded or generic, the mechanism of lash curlers is one and the same! Some lash curlers come with a provision of changing the rubber pads once in a while! Rubber pads are worn out after a while hence replacement is recommended! The rubber pad at head helps to hold on to your lashes! Anatomy of battery-operated lash curler is different to the manual one!

Prior to using curler!

How to use a lash curler? Just hold the lash curler the way you hold a pair of scissors using your thumb and middle finger! Reach for your eye! See to it you dont pinch your delicate skin around eyes! Make sure you clamp the lashes of your upper lid at the roots! Once you get hold of your lashes, delicately hold on to the curler for about 30 seconds or more! Time depends on how wide you want your lashes! Warning! Be extra cautious to release the curler prior to pulling it away from your eye!

Can you see my lashes?

Dont worry if you do not get it right for the first time! Neither did I! You can simply repeat the technique on the other eye! Practice makes things perfect! Curler doesnt work for lower lid, so dont bother to try! Love that curled effect to the lower lashes as well? Try using lash gel first and then top it up with your favorite curling mascara or lengthening mascara, my experience! Lash curler does much to your looks without any eye makeup! Generally, lash curlers are used prior to using mascara! Once you curl them, you are free to use mascara of your choice! There is a grave danger of breaking your lashes when you curl with mascara on!

After effects!

Lash curler is a must-have in your daily makeup routine! Great for travel! Eye lash curler and mascara go together, hand in hand to enhance your looks! The best eye lash curler for beginners just to make sure you are comfortable is Vega eye lash curler! Available at your local drug stores or beauty counters at malls! I have been using Vega since 5 years and no regrets! I bought it for about 40 INR, but not sure of the current price! The most economic and best investment a beautiful beginner can make! Best part, I didnt have to replace the rubber pad! The best branded eye lash curler once you master the technique is Shu Uemura, a cult-favorite coveted by the makeup artists around the globe! Available at Shu Uemura counters at malls or a stand-alone store if your place has one! Curl and hold! Look at the different world! It rhymes! LOL!

The Legend!

Tried to provide the best pictorial review I can! I hope my guide definitely helps you understand the basic anatomy and the real purpose of an eye lash curler! More than happy to help my beautiful beginners! By the way, lash curler doesnt hurt at all! Happy curling!

Coz each time I get that curler close to my eyes, the Psycho movie background score starts playing in my head & I just freak out - one of those silly phobias :P
